Tax-Exempt Status & Deductibility

The Homefront Bridge® is a registered nonprofit organization exempt from federal income taxation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All contributions, gifts, and grants are fully tax-deductible to the maximum extent allowed by law. Donors will receive an official receipt for all contributions, which should be retained for tax preparation purposes.

Our Commitment to Accountability

Financial integrity is a cornerstone of our mission. The Homefront Bridge® operates with a highly efficient 94% Program Efficiency Ratio. Our financial records undergo an annual independent audit in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Copies of our most recent audited financial statements and official IRS Form 990 are available for public inspection upon request or via our Public Accountability page.

State Nonprofit Solicitation Disclosures

Certain states require written disclosures for nonprofit organizations soliciting contributions. A copy of the latest financial report, registration filed by this organization, and a description of our programs and activities may be obtained by contacting us at the address above. If you are a resident of one of the following states, you may obtain financial information directly from the state agency:

  • FLORIDA: A COPY OF THE OFFICIAL REGISTRATION AND FINANCIAL INFORMATION MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE DIVISION OF CONSUMER SERVICES BY CALLING TOLL-FREE, WITHIN THE STATE, 1-800-HELP-FLA, OR VIA THE INTERNET AT WWW.800HELPFLA.COM. REGISTRATION DOES NOT IMPLY ENDORSEMENT, APPROVAL, OR RECOMMENDATION BY THE STATE.
  • MARYLAND: For the cost of copies and postage, documents and information submitted under the Maryland Charitable Solicitations Act are available from the Secretary of State, State House, Annapolis, MD 21401.
  • NEW YORK: Upon request, a copy of the latest annual report can be obtained from the organization or from the Office of the Attorney General by writing the Charities Bureau, 120 Broadway, New York, NY 10271.
  • VIRGINIA: A financial statement is available from the State Office of Consumer Affairs in the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services upon request.
  • WASHINGTON: The notice of solicitation required by the State Office of Consumer Affairs is on file with the Washington Secretary of State, and information relating to financial affairs of The Homefront Bridge® is available from the Secretary of State, and the toll-free number for Washington residents: 800-332-4483.
